Weekend Getaway
I spent my whole weekend treating my self. Yey!
Last Saturday, me and my teammates watched New Moon. We got out from work at 6 in the morning so we have to wait for 4 hours for Trinoma to open. So we decided to eat in Dencio's first while waiting. It was fun. Alex, Josh and I got a chance to bond over two buckets of San Mig Light. Good for them but bad for me because I don't drink that much because of my gastric infection.
Time passed by so fast to the point that we didn't notice that it's already lunch so we decided to go inside Trinoma to buy movie tickets. To our surprise, there was no seats available for the next four hours because all the cinemas were already occupied. We agreed to go to Gateway and watch the movie there instead.
When we arrived in Gateway, the cinema admin added more ticket stations that's why we were able to but ticket without waiting for a long time. The movie started at 2:15 pm and it lasted for almost two and a half hour. This post is not supposed to be a movie review but let me vent out my frustrations hehe.
New Moon. The movie started and ended as expected. Why I'm trying to say is, the director, Chris Weitz, used the book wisely. He even followed the book literally. If you already read the book, expect nothing but an illustration. Is that a bad thing? Well I can't blame the director because the second book of the Twilight Saga is really boring and bitin compare to the three other books, ayt? The animation was superb I may say.
My rating? 3 stars!
Nothing surprising.
After the movie, I got a text from a friend inviting me to join him to go bar hopping for the night. I said yes because I haven't done that for the longest time but unfortunately I wasn't able to wake up that night because I was dead tired the whole day.
Sunday morning, my best friend woke me up and asked me to come with her in Divisoria. It was Sunday and usually we just stay at home and do some stuff like watching ASAP 09. But since Sarah was not here right now (she's on her The Next One Europe Concert Tour for three weeks), she convinced me to go with her.
Divisoria. Since it's Christmas season, Divisoria is a place that you'll like the least if you don't like seeing too much people, more that you can imagine. If you don't like walking for over an hour, don't go there. If you don't like people stepping on your feet, don't go there as well. But if you want to save money, Divisoria is the best place to go. We went to 168 Mall, Cluster Mall and the mall beside it (I forgot the name). After spending a thousand bucks we decided to call it a day and go home.
Glee. My bestfriend told me to watch it because she knows that we have the same interest and she enjoys the show. She didn't disappoint me. I spend the whole night watching the first season from episode one to ten. The show is somehow similar to High School Musical but I think that Glee is for more matured audience compare to HSM. The ten episodes that I watched caters some social issues like homosexuality, racism, pre-marital sex and unwanted pregnancy. Of course they didn't miss showing teen-related issues like discovering your talent, pursuing your dreams, doing what you love to do, student-teacher relationship, and some mushy stuff. Every episode focused on a single issue. The writers (Ian Brennan, Brad Falchuk, Ryan Murphy) also made sure that the there will be a distinct song in every episode.
My rating? 5 stars!
Really fun, inspirational and entertaining.
